The Mission of LiFT is to provide challenging academics while building character and confidence, in an accepting and inclusive environment, so traditional students and those with neurodiversities can develop to their fullest potential.

This summer we were thrilled to have our first intern, Gina, join the SCC team. She did such an outstanding job that we offered her a paid position in a Sun Country Cleaners retail location.

We took a few minutes to sit down with Gina for her to share a few things about herself and how things are going working with the team.

Meet Gina…

What was the hardest task to learn? 

Probably the alphabetizing.

What was your favorite task?

My favorite was dusting the racks with the spray. It took me a long time to finish it, sometimes 2 days, but it’s still my favorite.

What did you dislike most?

Cleaning the bathroom.

Do you have any hobbies?

Yes I ride horses. I love to alter serve at church too. I love to sing and dance at the same time.  Also, I like arts and crafts.

What is your favorite food? 

Noodles and tomatoes!

What do you do on your days off? 

Hang out with my friends, visit my grandparents, watch Netflix, and hang out with my dog Sasha.

What have you learned while at Sun Country Cleaners? 

I learned a lot of new tasks. I learned people leave stuff in their pockets. I learned I liked to be kept busy.
